We will commence our free tour at the predetermined meeting point, the Café Bar do Largo d'Alfândega. Once everyone has gathered, we'll embark on an exploration of the historic heart of the city, fondly referred to as Floripa. Throughout this journey, we will uncover the captivating stories behind its notable landmarks and structures.

Have you ever wondered about the original inhabitants of Santa Catarina Island? As we stroll, we will discover the indigenous communities that established Florianópolis, transporting us back to the 17th century, an era defined by the influx of Portuguese settlers alongside African slaves.

Following insights into the creators of the so-called "magic island", we will proceed to visit the Cruz e Sousa Palace, previously the headquarters of the State Government, and the stunning November 15th Square. You'll be in awe of the elegance these sites present!

Our exploration continues as we wander through Largo da Alfândega until arriving at the Public Market. One of our stops will include the magnificent façade of the Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Homens Pretos Church. Additionally, we'll pass by the Álvaro de Carvalho Theatre, renowned as one of the city’s most exquisite structures.

As we near the conclusion of our tour, we will meander down Hercílio Luz Avenue until we reach the Santa Bárbara Fort, essential stops to fully understand the essence of Florianópolis.

After a 2-hour immersive exploration, this Florianópolis free tour will conclude at the Miramar Memorial.
