Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Rua Felipe Schmidt, 14 to begin this free tour around Florianópolis. Once we're all together, we'll start the tour around the historic centre, popularly known as Floripa, exploring the secrets of its important monuments and buildings.

As we walk, we'll learn about the indigenous tribes that founded Florianópolis in the 17th century, marked by the arrival of Portuguese colonisers and African slaves.

We will visit the Cruz e Sousa Palace, the old headquarters of the State Government, and the November 15th Square. Next, we will walk around Largo da Alfândega to the Public Market, then stop at the façade of the Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Homens Pretos Church, and pass by the Álvaro de Carvalho Theatre.

Before concluding, we will walk down Hercílio Luz Avenue to arrive at Santa Bárbara Fort, essential locations for understanding Florianópolis.

After 2 hours of guided visit, the Florianópolis free tour will end at the Miramar Memorial.
