Palace of Fontainebleau
The Palace of Fontainebleau is located in the Paris-Isle de France region, approximately 1 hour by car or a 40-minute train ride from central Paris. Established in medieval times, the palace's grandeur emerged in the 16th century under King François I.
Your ticket allows you to explore the following areas of the palace:
Château de Fontainebleau.
The palace features 1,500 rooms, including chambers such as the Salon Louis XIII, the Salon François I, and Napoleon I's throne room. Key attractions also include royal chapels, Pope Pius VII's apartment, Renaissance rooms, and 19th-century galleries. An English audio guide is available for 4EUR per person.
Napoleon I Museum
The museum showcases a collection related to Napoleon I's reign from 1804-1814, including furniture, art, and various artifacts.
Park and gardens
The park spans 130 hectares, featuring the English and Diana gardens and the Grand Canal. The Fontainebleau tourist train offers exploration for 7EUR per person.

Fontainebleau Palace
The palace and Napoleon I Museum are open daily (except Tuesdays) from:
April to September: 9:30 am to 6 pm (last access at 5:15 pm)October to March: 9:30 am to 5 pm (last access at 4:15 pm)
A two-hour visit is recommended. Some rooms may close early or have limited access.
Courtyards and gardens of the palace
November to February: 9 am to 5 pm (last access at 4 pm)March to October: 9 am to 6 pm (last access at 5 pm)
The Diana Garden and English Garden may close early and could be shut in poor weather. The park remains open 24/7, with the Marrier gate closing from 7:30 pm to 9 am. Hours are subject to change.
