Palace of Fontainebleau
The Palace of Fontainebleau is located in the Paris-Isle de France region, approximately an hour's drive or a 40-minute train journey from central Paris. Its history dates back to medieval times, but it flourished in the 16th century during the Renaissance under King François I.
With your ticket, you can explore the palace at your own pace, including the following spaces:
Château de Fontainebleau
This grand palace features around 1,500 rooms, including the luxurious chambers of monarchs such as the Salon Louis XIII, Salon François I, and the throne room of Napoleon I. Key areas include the royal chapels, Pope Pius VII's apartment, the Renaissance rooms, and Napoleon I's private quarters. An English audio guide is available for 4EUR per person.
Napoleon I Museum
This museum showcases a collection of items from the First Empire (1804-1814), including furniture, art, and artifacts from Napoleon I's rule.
Park and gardens
The park spans 130 hectares, featuring the English and Diana gardens, a carp pond, and the Grand Canal. Consider the Fontainebleau tourist train for 7EUR per person to explore these areas.

Fontainebleau Palace
The palace and Napoleon I Museum are open daily (except Tuesdays) at the following times:
April to September: 9:30 am to 6 pm (last access at 5:15 pm)October to March: 9:30 am to 5 pm (last access at 4:15 pm)
Some areas may close early for security reasons, and the complete tour is expected to take approximately two hours.
Courtyards and gardens of the palace
November to February: 9 am to 5 pm (last access at 4 pm)March to October: 9 am to 6 pm (last access at 5 pm)
The gardens may close early and could be closed entirely in bad weather. The park operates 24 hours on weekdays, with the Marrier gate open from 9 am to 7:30 pm.
