Fort-de-France Food Tour

The French influence and its location by the Caribbean Sea make Martinique an island of contrasts. We'll meet at the cruise port at 9 am ready to start our food tour of Fort-de-France.

First, we'll go into the historic city centre for two gourmet stops where we'll taste homemade ice cream and sugar cane juice, as well as a traditional sweet.

We'll then walk to the Gran Mercado to experience the essence of the town. This glass and metal pavilion is a paradise for lovers of spices, chilli, herbal teas, rum punches and vanilla.

Afterwards, we'll stroll past the Palais de Justice, the Schoelcher Library and the Saint Louis Cathedral while learning about historical natural disasters in Fort-de-France and stories related to gastronomy.

Finally, we'll arrive at the Place de La Savane to enjoy a surprise dish while relaxing in a setting of palm trees and flowers.

We'll arrive back at the starting point at 11:30 am to end the experience.
