Spend the day surrounded by Costa Rica's wild nature visiting the La Fortuna Waterfall, Arenal Volcano, and its hot springs.

Arenal Volcano & La Fortuna Waterfall Tour

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arenal and travel to the La Fortuna Waterfall in a comfortable vehicle.

Accessing the waterfall requires an approximately eight-kilometre hike in the Arenal Volcano National Park. The first segment follows the La Fortuna River, after which you will be taken to a viewpoint to admire the Costa Rican landscape.

The hike continues with a climb of 500 steps to reach the La Fortuna Waterfall, which is over 70 metres high. A swimming opportunity is available in the clear waters at the waterfall's base.

From the waterfall, a 20-minute walk leads to the Maluku indigenous community to learn about their culture, along with a visit to one of their main houses. A meal will be enjoyed at a local restaurant located 10 minutes from the village.

After lunch, another hike to the Arenal Volcano begins, passing through diverse forests. After crossing the lake, the highest point will provide impressive views of the volcano.

The tour concludes with a visit to the Arenal hot springs for a relaxing experience with the option of snacks and drinks. You will return to hotels in Arenal by around 7 pm.
