Spend the day surrounded by Costa Rica's wild nature. You'll visit the La Fortuna Waterfall as well as the Arenal Volcano and its hot springs.

Arenal Volcano & La Fortuna Waterfall Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Arenal at the arranged time and set off in a comfortable vehicle to the La Fortuna Waterfall.

This waterfall is only accessible by foot, involving an approximately eight-kilometre hike through the Arenal Volcano National Park, a biological reserve of a tropical rainforest. The first stretch of our hike will follow the course of the La Fortuna River. Afterward, we'll board a vehicle that will take us to a viewpoint, allowing us to marvel at the wonders of the Costa Rican landscape.

Our adventure continues as we ascend approximately 500 steps to reach the La Fortuna Waterfall. The climb is rewarding! This spectacular waterfall is over 70 meters high, with a large pool of crystal-clear water at its base. You'll even get the chance to take a dip!

After leaving the waterfall, we'll embark on a 20-minute walk to the small village of the Maluku indigenous community. Here, you'll learn about their customs, culture, and language, with an opportunity to visit one of their Palenkes (main house). To recharge, we'll enjoy a meal in a local restaurant, situated about 10 minutes from the village.

Post-lunch, we'll head out on another hike to the Arenal Volcano, traversing a forest filled with intriguing bird species, monkeys, sloths, and coatis. Upon crossing the lake, we’ll arrive at one of the tour’s highlights... from a high vantage point of the Arenal Volcano, you'll capture some impressive photographs of the volcano and its natural environment.

We'll descend back to the trail for the tour's relaxing finale with a soak in the Arenal hot springs. Here, you can enjoy the warm waters and a snack and a drink. A perfect way to conclude the trip!

We'll return to the hotels in Arenal at around 7 pm.

This tour involves several hikes, so it is essential to be in good physical condition. We recommend wearing comfortable footwear and clothing.

This activity includes pickup from hotels located in Arenal and the district of La Fortuna. If you're staying outside these areas, we can pick you up for an additional fee of 40USD per vehicle.
