Description

At the indicated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in La Fortuna and set off from the city toward Arenal Volcano, a must on any trip to Costa Rica.

On arrival at the park, you'll be captivated by the view of the Arenal Volcano, towering above the jungle at a height of almost 5,500 ft (1,670 meters). Want a closer look? You will embark on a hiking route of just under 4 miles (6 km) to the base of the volcano, where the most daring can choose to walk on the solid lava fields from the last eruption - it's dormant now, don't worry!

From this impressive vantage point, you'll enjoy stunning views of the renowned Arenal Lake. Prepare to be amazed by the diverse flora, fauna, and fascinating lava formations that make up this area. After the hike, you'll have some leisure time to unwind or indulge in a delicious meal.

Finally, we will head back to your hotel in La Fortuna, where the tour will end after a total of 4 hours.

How does it work?

You will be collected from your hotel in La Fortuna at the scheduled time. The excursion includes:

Pickup and drop–off services for those in hotels located between the town center and Secondary National Route 142 to Tabacón.A guided hike to the base of Arenal Volcano, covering just under 4 miles (6 km).Free time after the hike to relax or enjoy a meal.

Meeting point

For those staying in hotels in downtown La Fortuna, specifically between the town center and Secondary National Route 142 to Tabacón, pickup and drop–off services are included in this excursion.

If your hotel is outside this designated area, we will meet you instead at the Volcano Travel CR offices located in El Jauuri de Peñas Blancas, La Fortuna.
