Excursion to the Fortuna River Waterfall

Visit the Fortuna River Waterfall

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Arenal and travel to the Fortuna River Waterfall Private Reserve, a notable natural area in Costa Rica.

Upon arrival, we'll walk through the forest, learning about the area's biodiversity. After this short hiking route, we'll board a tractor-type vehicle that will take us to a viewpoint with impressive views of the Fortuna River Waterfall.

From here, we'll walk back up a staircase in the jungle made up of 500 steps to reach the base of the Fortuna River Waterfall. During the hike, there will be opportunities to see native animals such as toucans, oropendolas, and butterflies.

At the waterfall, we'll admire its impressive 70-metre (230 feet) fall and have the chance to take a refreshing dip in its waters. After this break, we'll return to the lookout point and head to the Maluku indigenous village to learn about their culture.

To complete the excursion, we'll enjoy a traditional Costa Rican meal. After recharging, we will return to Arenal and drop you off at your hotel 6 hours later.
