Fortuna River Waterfall Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in La Fortuna at the indicated time to begin our excursion. After about a five-minute drive, we'll arrive at the Fortuna River Waterfall Reserve, where we'll embark on an unforgettable three-hour hike.

This breathtaking reserve is located in a natural area managed by the Integral Development Association of La Fortuna, focusing on community investment. The tropical forest surrounding the Fortuna River Waterfall is part of the Arenal Volcano National Park and spans 210 acres.

Upon arrival at the reserve, we will stop at a viewpoint for photographs. Then, we will descend a path of about 500 steps to the base of the Fortuna River Waterfall. Visitors may spot local wildlife such as toucans, oropendolas, and butterflies.

At the base, we will admire the 230-foot drop and have the opportunity to swim in the clear waters from the Children's Eternal Rainforest. Please bring your swimsuit.

After swimming, we will return to the top where a refreshing snack of fresh fruit will be provided. We will then conclude the excursion with your return to your hotel in La Fortuna.
