Fortuna River Waterfall Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in La Fortuna at the designated time to start our excursion. After a five-minute drive, we will reach the Fortuna River Waterfall Reserve for a three-hour hike.

This reserve is managed by the Integral Development Association of La Fortuna, aiming to raise funds for local community investments. The tropical forest housing the Fortuna River Waterfall is part of the Arenal Volcano National Park and spans 210 acres.

Upon arrival at the reserve, we will stop at the viewpoint to take pictures. We will then descend a path comprising approximately 500 steps to the base of the Fortuna River Waterfall. There is a chance to observe local wildlife, including toucans, oropendolas, and butterflies.

At the base, we will view the 230-foot drop and have the opportunity to swim in the clear waters from the Children's Eternal Rainforest. Remember to bring your swimsuit!

After the swim, we will return up the path to the top, where we will enjoy a snack of fresh fruit. The excursion will conclude with your return to the hotel in La Fortuna.
