The day begins with a pick up from your hotel in La Fortuna at 7:30 am. We will travel by bus for an hour and a half through the San Carlos Plains and Juan Castro Blanco National Park to the town where Laguna de Hule is located.

Hule Lagoon is situated at the base of the Congo Volcano. It is formed by clay and volcanic rock, making it ideal for hiking and observing diverse landscapes. We will start by traversing the grasslands around the volcanic cauldron, then descend into the lush green forest. This 5-mile route includes views of the three volcanic lakes that originally formed the crater of the volcano.

This 3-hour walk will culminate in a traditional lunch prepared by a local family, providing an authentic experience of local culture and gastronomy. We will return to your hotel in La Fortuna, arriving around 4:30 pm.
