Sloth Watching Park Visit

At the designated time, we'll meet in the outskirts of La Fortuna and get ready to interact with sloths. We will head into the park and spend 1.5 to 2 hours exploring a trail to observe sloths, which are a typical wildlife species in the country. You are likely to spot sloths in various positions, whether hanging from tree branches or nestled among leaves. There are two types of sloths in Costa Rica: two-toed and three-toed, so look for distinguishing features.

Wandering through the rainforest and observing the animals in their natural habitat, you will discover that the park focuses on adopting orphaned sloths and caring for injured ones. This is a perfect place to visit these unique animals.

During your sloth trail, keep in mind that sloths are known for their slow movements, often remaining motionless for up to 90 percent of the day. You will learn many interesting facts about these animals on the tour, including their unexpected swimming abilities.
