Don't miss meeting some of Costa Rica's most adorable inhabitants on this trip to the La Fortuna Sloth Watching Park. Explore the rainforest in search of these tree climbers!
Sloth Watching Park Visit
At the designated time, we'll meet in the outskirts of La Fortuna to meet some furry friends.
We'll explore a trail in the park for 1.5 to 2 hours, searching for sloths, one of the country's typical wildlife species. You may see sloths hanging from tree branches or peeking out from behind leaves. There are two types of sloths in Costa Rica: two-toed and three-toed. See if you can identify them!
As we wander through the rainforest, you'll learn how the park is dedicated to adopting orphaned sloths and caring for injured ones. This makes it a great location to observe these adorable animals.
During your sloth trail, don't be concerned if they seem motionless. Sloths are slow creatures, often spending up to 90 percent of their day inactive. You'll discover more fascinating facts about them during your tour, including that they are surprisingly strong swimmers!
