Sloth Watching Park Visit

At the designated time, we'll meet in the outskirts of La Fortuna and get ready to make some new furry friends.

We'll head into the park and spend 1.5 to 2 hours exploring a trail that'll take us to the sloths, which are typical wildlife in the country. Look for sloths hanging from tree branches, peeking from leaves, or hiding on the forest floor. You'll discover there are two types of sloths in Costa Rica—two-toed and three-toed.

As you wander through the rainforest, watching the animals in their natural habitat, you'll learn about the park's dedication to adopting orphaned sloths and caring for those with injuries.

During your sloth trail, remember that sloths are slow creatures, often spending up to 90 percent of the day motionless. You'll learn many fascinating facts about these animals, including that they are surprisingly strong swimmers!
