White Water Rafting Details

After hotel pickup in Arenal, a 50-minute drive will take us to the rafting launch point. Our expert guides will provide a safety talk before we embark on the rafting trip.

The rafting experience includes tackling class II and II rapids such as "Superman," "Ay Caramba," and "Confusion," suitable for both beginners and advanced rafters. The trip lasts between an hour and a half to two hours, depending on daily river flow. We'll navigate through the Costa Rican jungle, admiring gorges, canyons, and waterfalls while potentially spotting local wildlife like monkeys and toucans.

After the rafting, enjoy a refreshing beer or juice before returning to Arenal, approximately 4.5 hours after pickup.

Advanced Rafting

For experienced rafters, we offer an advanced-level activity featuring class III and IV rafting.

Activity Schedule

Beginners' rafting: 10:30 am to 3 pm, in the Sarapiqui or Balsa River.Advanced rafting: 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, in the Sarapiqui River.

Hotel Pickup

The tour includes pickup and drop off at the main hotels in La Fortuna. For other locations, a supplementary charge applies:

Zone 2: Arenal Lodge, Lost Iguana, New Moon, Chachagua Forest, Chachagua Rainforest and Tilajari, 39.95 USD each way (45.20 USD as of December 15).Zone 3: Leaves and Lizards, La Mansión, El Castillo, Observatory Lodge, Rancho Margot, and Lands in Love, 35 USD each way (56.50 USD as of December 15).Zone 4: Nueva Arenal Hotels, Termales el Bosque, El Tucano, 56.50 USD each way (79.10 USD as of December 15).
