Explore the beautiful villages of the Albano Mountains with this tour of the Castelli Romani region. You'll visit the towns of Castel Gandolfo, Nemi & Rocca di Papa!

Castelli Romani Private Excursion

At 9:30 am, we will meet at the Frascati train station. We will travel by car to Castel Gandolfo, located 20 minutes away.

Upon arrival, we will take a sightseeing tour and view the exterior of the Pope's summer residence, including historical context about Alexander VII and Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s role in its architecture.

Next, we will drive along Lake Albano to Nemi, one of the smallest villages in the region, offering scenic views. We will then proceed to Rocca di Papa to appreciate its 12th-century castle and discuss the town's history during World War II.

The final stop will be in Frascati, where we will explore the historic center and visit a winery to taste white wine alongside a typical Italian aperitif. During this tasting session, we will cover the influence of volcanic soils on local viticulture.

The tour will conclude back at the starting point at 12:30 pm.
