Explore Freiburg's Christmas Market

At the indicated time, we’ll meet at Freiburg Minster, located in the heart of Freiburg. We’ll proceed directly to the Freiburg Christmas Market, situated in the Marktplatz.

First established in 1973, the market features over 120 stalls offering a variety of crafts and treats each year. Upon entering, visitors will encounter the glow of twinkling Christmas lights illuminating the old town streets.

While exploring the wooden stalls, guests can find items such as handmade candles, pottery, wooden toys, and unique Christmas decorations. Local treats are also abundant, including traditional mulled wine, grilled sausages, roasted chestnuts, and other regional specialties.

Children can participate in craft workshops to create Christmas gifts to take home. Additionally, live music and choirs performing carols enhance the festive atmosphere.

After 1.5 hours of market exploration, we will conclude our tour in the Marktplatz.
