Frigiliana Guided Exploration
At the scheduled hour, our meeting point is set at the patio of the Casa del Apero, where we will commence our guided exploration of Frigiliana. Prepare to wander through charming cobblestone paths, admire whitewashed homes, and appreciate building facades adorned with vibrant potted plants typical of the Malaga region.
Our journey begins with a visit to the Palace of the Counts, locally known as El Ingenio. Here, we will admire the stunning Renaissance edifice from the 16th century, now housing a honey factory renowned for producing a unique honey found solely in Europe. Interestingly, this honey gained fame when it was featured on the popular TV show Masterchef, where contestants crafted dishes centered around this exquisite ingredient!
Continuing our stroll, we'll make our way through Frigiliana's historic center along Real and Hernando el Darr streets. This picturesque route leads us to the lively main squares of the Arab Quarter, celebrated for their distinctive architectural styles. As we progress, we’ll come across the San Antonio Church and the notable Town Hall, among other significant sites.
To cap off this enriching tour, we will enjoy a wine tasting accompanied by delicious snacks, including olives, chips, cheese, chorizo, sausage, salami, and bread.
After two hours of immersing ourselves in the picturesque ambiance of this Malagan gem, we will conclude our experience at the El Lagar store, located at the summit of Calle Real.
