Explore the vibrant beauty of La Palma's seabed on our Fuencaliente Snorkelling Activity. You'll see hundreds of fish and remnants of lava flows from the Teneguía volcano's last eruption.

Activity Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at one of the meeting points in Fuencaliente. After introductions, you'll drive your own car, following the guide to the beach in Southwest La Palma for snorkelling. Upon arrival, we'll put on wetsuits and review safety rules for the activity. We'll equip ourselves with flippers, snorkels, and goggles before entering the water.

We will spend 1 hour exploring the underwater life off the coast of Fuencaliente. Expect to see various fish including Mediterranean parrotfish, dreamfish, white seabream, seabass, and barracuda. The area’s volcanic seabed allows for viewing solidified lava from the Teneguía volcano's 1971 eruption. We'll conclude the session at Malpique Beach at 12 noon. If desired, snorkelling equipment can be used for 2 to 5 hours after the start.

Schedule and Meeting Points

If you choose the 9:30 am slot, meet at the dive school on Calle José Torres Hernández in Fuencaliente. For the 12:30 pm option, we’ll meet directly at the beach. The exact meeting point will be confirmed after booking.
