The Bioparc Fuengirola is located on the Costa del Sol, next to the town hall of this Malaga town and a five-minute walk from the beach.
Upon entering BIOPARC Fuengirola, the visitor is immersed in a careful recreation of natural habitats that allow them to get closer to the animals with the sensation of being inside a jungle. There you can discover such spectacular species as the lowland gorilla, Bornean orangutan, Komodo dragon, Suamtra tiger, Sri Lankan leopard, Malayan tapir or red panda, among others.
On Tuesday, June 18, a new area opens in Bioparc Fuengirola.
ith this expansion, Bioparc Fuengirola will now offer recreations of the seas, rivers, coasts and tropical jungles of Central and South America. Visitors will be able to discover the rich biodiversity of these environments through saltwater aquariums, freshwater aquariums and estuaries, and a spectacular aviary where small primates and unique birds live together. As a new element, you can observe this fauna and flora following the steps of the explorers who participated in the first circumnavigation of the globe, initiated by Ferdinand Magellan and concluded by Juan Sebastián Elcano and the crew of the ship Victoria.
This project culminates a tour of all the rainforests in the world: Madagascar, Equatorial Africa, Southeast Asia, the Indo-Pacific islands and, now, Central and South America.
To the three hours of travel that is usually recommended, around one hour of experience in the park would be added.
As a 21st century Zoo, it understands and practices its educational, research and conservation function.
