Our adventure begins at the specified time at the Marina Funchal, where the impressive Santa Maria caravel awaits our arrival. Stepping aboard this remarkable vessel, we will be transported back to 1492, retracing Columbus's expedition to the Americas as we glide along Madeira's southern coastline.

During our time on the caravel, you will find yourself in the infectious spirit of the crew, who play the roles of spirited pirates from Madeira. As we navigate these waters, keep your eyes peeled for glimpses of dolphins and whales that inhabit this part of the Atlantic Ocean!

Constructed in Câmara de Lobos, this ship is a replica of the caravel that accompanied La Pinta and La Niña during the monumental discovery of America. Among the three ships, the Santa Maria was the largest and was famously captained by Columbus. You will have the opportunity to explore its deck, descend into its hold, and marvel at its splendid Portuguese sails and crow's nest.
