At the agreed time we'll meet at Do Mar Avenue, and we'll begin our experience: swimming with dolphins off the coast of Madeira. Are you ready?

We'll start the excursion by boarding a boat that will take us out to sea to one of the places known for the large number of dolphins that congregate there. As we sail on the Atlantic Ocean, the guide will share information about the marine mammals that inhabit the waters around the Portuguese island.

Once we've reached the perfect spot, we'll stop the engine and wait for the dolphins to appear around the boat. It will then be time to swim with them! In small groups, we'll get into the water holding on to the rope attached to the boat, using snorkeling gear provided. Safely in the water, we'll have the opportunity to swim alongside dolphins.

After the excursion, we'll return to the meeting point where the activity will conclude 2 hours later.

Dolphin Sightings

Madeira Island has a natural environment conducive to swimming with dolphins and other marine animals. However, sightings are unpredictable and depend on various factors, including weather, sea currents, and breeding seasons. To preserve the natural environment, we can't guarantee that every swim will occur in the open sea; 90% of the time, it does.
