Discover the charm of eastern Madeira's arid landscape on this panoramic tour through the towns of Santana and Machico!

East Madeira Tour

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to start our tour of eastern Madeira.

Our first stop will be the Terreiro da Luta viewpoint, offering a view of the bay of Funchal with the ocean in the background.

We will then proceed to the village of Faial to see the rock of the eagles before continuing to Santana. Here, we will admire the famous triangular thatched houses, a notable image of Madeira.

Next, we will visit a local restaurant for a meal and experience the local cuisine. Afterward, we'll head to the Guindaste viewpoint.

The tour continues to Machico. Along the journey, we will view the large sugar cane terraces. In Machico, the first capital of Madeira, we will explore its historical heritage and culture.

Concluding our journey, we'll visit Ponta de São Lourenço, a significant geographical feature of the island with impressive panoramic views over the north and south sides.

After nearly 8 hours of exploring eastern Madeira, we will return to your hotel.
