Madeira's lakes are a significant tourist attraction of the island, ideal for hiking while exploring waterfalls, streams, and lagoons.
Description
Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Funchal at the designated time and transported by minibus to the valley of the Paúl da Serra plateau. The hiking route will last four hours, during which participants will discover small lagoons, streams, and fascinating rock formations shaped by erosion and water.
The hike will include hidden waterfalls, diverse terrain, and breathtaking views. Participants will also follow ancient paths leading to the oldest levada irrigation channel in western Madeira. Stunning panoramic views of the plateau will enhance the experience.
After capturing the unique landscapes, the group will return to the starting point. Participants will board the minibus for the return trip to their hotel, arriving approximately 8 hours after pickup.
Pickup
This activity includes pickup from hotels in central Funchal. For guests staying in remote areas or other parts of Madeira, pickup will occur at the designated meeting point in Funchal: Rua 5 de Outubro, 78.
