Madeira's lakes are among the main tourist attractions of the Portuguese island. Explore them on this hiking route featuring waterfalls, streams, and lagoons.
Description
Pickup will be from your hotel in Funchal at the scheduled time. We will travel by minibus to the valley of the Paúl da Serra plateau to unveil its natural wonders.
This plateau hosts small lagoons, streams, and rock formations shaped by erosion and water dynamics. Over four hours, we will embark on a hiking route across the lakes of Madeira Island, discovering their origins and the local flora.
While traversing the valley, we will encounter hidden waterfalls and striking landscapes. The trail will also lead us to the oldest levada irrigation channel in western Madeira. Enjoy remarkable panoramic views of the Paúl da Serra plateau.
Once we have absorbed these incredible sights, we will return to the starting point. After a total duration of 8 hours from the pickup, we will return you to your hotel.
