Madeira's lakes are a significant tourist attraction on the island. This hiking route offers the opportunity to explore waterfalls, streams, and lagoons.

Description

Participants will be picked up from their hotel in Funchal at the scheduled time and transported by minibus to the valley of the Paúl da Serra plateau. This plateau features small lagoons, streams, and unique rock formations shaped by erosion and water.

The hiking route lasts four hours, providing insights into the origin of the lakes and surrounding flora. As we traverse the valley, hidden waterfalls and stunning landscapes will enhance the experience. The path will also lead to the oldest levada irrigation channel in western Madeira, offering captivating panoramic views of the plateau.

After exploring these landscapes, the group will return to the original starting point, board the minibus, and be taken back to the hotel, arriving approximately 8 hours after the pickup.
