Madeira's lakes are a major tourist attraction. Discover them on this hiking route and enjoy waterfalls, streams, and lagoons.
Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in Funchal at the scheduled time and travel by minibus to the valley of the Paúl da Serra plateau. Prepare to explore its natural features!
This plateau features small lagoons, streams, and rock formations shaped by erosion and water. For four hours, we will hike through the lakes of Madeira Island, learning about their origins and surrounding flora.
During our hike, we will encounter hidden waterfalls, unique terrain, and stunning landscapes. We will also navigate paths that lead us to the oldest levada irrigation channel in western Madeira. The panoramic views of the Paúl da Serra plateau will be impressive!
After experiencing these landscapes, we will return to our starting point. We will board the minibus to take you back to your hotel, arriving 8 hours after pickup.
