Hike Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Funchal and, from there, we'll make our way west.

After a 1-hour drive, we'll reach the Levado do Moinho hiking trail, named due to the many water mills in the area. It is also a sugarcane production centre, which requires a significant amount of irrigation.

Upon arrival, we'll begin an exciting hiking route in Levada do Moinho. This 3-hour, medium-difficult trek, will showcase various agricultural landscapes and offer insights into the native fauna and flora of the ecosystem.

We will also admire a series of waterfalls and small streams that enhance the path. While walking, we will share anecdotes and facts about this natural area, which belongs to the Ponta do Sol municipality, on Madeira's southern coast.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point to board the vehicle back to Funchal, with hotel drop-off expected around 4-5.5 hours after pickup.
