Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Funchal by jeep and head northeast to explore the natural beauty of this part of Madeira.
Our first stop will be Pico do Arieiro, standing at 1,818 meters (5,964 feet), where we'll take in panoramic views. It’s the third-highest peak in Madeira.
Next, we’ll arrive in Santana. Before exploring its historic center, the jeep will take us along the Levada dos Balcões trail, where we’ll admire the surrounding laurel forests, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We’ll also stop at the Cova da Roda viewpoint before reaching the urban part of Santana, known for its triangular, thatched-roof houses, which have stood for over 250 years.
We’ll then head to Porto da Cruz, exploring the processes that made Madeira rum famous worldwide. The adventure wraps up at Ponta de São Lourenço, where you’ll be captivated by volcanic hues and cliffs.
