Pico do Arieiro + Ruivo Sunrise Hike

On this sunrise hike of Pico do Arieiro and Pico Ruivo, you'll explore the impressive landscapes of Madeira at dawn.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in a minibus and proceed to Pico do Arieiro, the third-highest peak on Madeira Island.

Upon arrival at the starting point, you'll begin the ascent on foot, following the digital map. As you climb the trail, enjoy glimpses of the panoramic views met by the morning light.

After reaching Pico do Arieiro, the route will lead us to Pico Ruivo, the highest mountain in Madeira. The journey will take around 5 hours through rocky terrain and narrow trails. At the top, you'll be rewarded with scenic views ideal for photographs.

Afterwards, we'll continue the tour by minibus, passing through the coastal towns of Machico and Santa Cruz.

Finally, we'll return you to your hotel, arriving 8 hours after pickup.

Self-guided tour

This hiking tour is conducted without a guide. The day before, we'll provide the digital map and route instructions. The driver will take you to the starting point and pick you up at the end.

This tour includes pickup from hotels in Funchal and Caniço.
