While booking your Vespa tour of Madeira, you'll get to choose between two different routes. Both tours are 6 to 6.5 hours long, begin at the Plaza Madeira shopping centre, and include an English-speaking guide, as well as Vespa and helmet rental.

Tour of Funchal & Câmara de Lobos

The tour starts at Ponta do Garaju, home to the Cristo Rei sculpture. Next, visit the Miradouro das Neves for views before continuing to the city center. Admire the Forte de São Tiago and Mercado dos Lavradores.

The tour then proceeds to Câmara de Lobos for a stop at its historical port, followed by a visit to Cabo Girão and a 1-hour break at a nearby bar for local seafood.

Tour of Inland Madeira

This option begins at the Church of Our Lady of the Mount before exploring inland paths. The first stop is Miradouro dos Balcões for views of Ribeira da Metade Valley.

Continue to Santo António and Marmeleiros viewpoints before stopping at an inland restaurant for a meal. The tour concludes with an exploration of the Pico del Arieiro area before returning to the starting point.

Activity Requirements

This activity is conducted by following the guide's scooter. Each Vespa accommodates two people: a rider and a passenger. The number of scooters will depend on the group size:

Up to 2 people: 1 Vespa plus guide's motorbike.Up to 4 people: 2 Vespas plus guide's motorbike.Up to 6 people: 3 Vespas plus guide's motorbike.Up to 8 people: 4 Vespas plus guide's motorbike.

The motorbike driver must be over 25 years old with a valid A1 or B driving licence. The minimum age to ride as a passenger is 10 years old.
