After hotel pickup, we will travel east to Santo da Serra, a small village in Machico, known for its Sunday market attracting hundreds of locals. Here, a variety of local products such as fruit, vegetables, fresh fish, handicrafts, and clothes are available.

Following our market exploration, we will visit local bars for you to taste poncha, a typical drink from the island made from lemon, honey, and sugar cane.

Before heading back to Funchal, a brief stop will be made at the Portela Viewpoint for views of the Machico Valley and the Atlantic Ocean.

During the return journey, we will pass through Santa Cruz to admire this scenic city in the mountains.

We will return to Funchal at approximately 1 pm.
