After hotel pickup, we will head east to Santo da Serra, a village in Machico known for its market attracting hundreds of locals every Sunday. The market offers a variety of local products including fruit, vegetables, fresh fish, handicrafts, and clothes.

After visiting the market, we will stop at local bars to try poncha, a typical drink from the island made from lemon, honey, and sugar cane.

Before returning to Funchal, there will be a brief stop at the Portela Viewpoint for views of the Machico Valley and the Atlantic Ocean. The return journey will also pass through Santa Cruz to admire the city.

We will arrive in Funchal at around 1 pm.
