Valley of the Nuns Tour + Wooden Basket Ride

Pickup will be at your hotel, after which we will head to Curral das Freiras, Valley of Nuns. The first stop will be in the parish of Monte, where we will experience an original transport method—the wicker basket equipped with wheels. Enjoy a ride in the Cestas da Madeira through Monte's streets.

Next, we will visit Santo Antonio, where Cristiano Ronaldo used to train. The journey will take us through landscapes of eucalyptus, mimosa, and chestnut trees to an elevation of 1,100 metres (3,608 feet) above sea level.

We will then arrive at the Eira do Serrado viewpoint at 1,200 metres (3,937 feet) for views of Funchal on clear days. After exploring the Valley of the Nuns and visiting the Nun's House and its church, there will be a Madeira liqueur tasting.

We will conclude the tour at the Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint for panoramic views of Funchal before returning to your hotel, totaling 3 hours.
