Your adventure begins as we pick you up from your accommodation at the scheduled time, setting off towards Curral das Freiras, the remarkable Valley of Nuns.

Our first stop will immerse us in the charming village located near Funchal, specifically in the parish of Monte, where we will encounter one of the traditional transportation methods of Madeira.

Is it a train or a car? Perhaps a bike? Not quite! In the 19th century, the affluent residents of Monte once traveled to Funchal using a wicker basket with wheels. Quite unique, isn’t it? You'll have the opportunity to enjoy a delightful ride in the Cestas da Madeira, navigating the streets of Monte.

Following this extraordinary experience, we will continue to Santo Antonio, where we will glimpse the training grounds of young Cristiano Ronaldo. As we drive through landscapes adorned with eucalyptus, mimosa, and chestnut trees, we will ascend to an altitude of 1,100 meters (3,608 feet) above sea level.

Next, we’ll visit the Eira do Serrado viewpoint, perched at 1,200 meters above sea level. On a clear day, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the iconic Funchal landscape from this remarkable vantage point.

Our exploration continues in the Valley of the Nuns, where we will visit the Nun's House and its church, followed by a delightful tasting of Madeira liqueurs.

As we near the conclusion of our journey, we will make our way to the Pico dos Barcelos viewpoint to enjoy stunning panoramic views of Funchal, capping off your experience.

Ultimately, after about three hours, we will return you to your hotel.

For those requiring pickup from downtown Santa Cruz, a surcharge of 15 EUR per person is applicable, payable on the day of the tour.

Children Under 5
