Whale Watching Sunset Cruise

At 6.30 pm, we'll meet at the Marina do Funchal and start this boat trip along the south coast of Madeira, around Cabo Girão and Câmara de Lobos. From the boat, we'll admire the sunset over the coast, aiming to spot different whales and dolphins as they come to feed during this time. Sunset is one of the best times to see these marine mammals in the North Atlantic.

The onboard guide will share information about the marine fauna, including species such as bottlenose and spotted dolphins, sperm whales, fin whales, and pilot whales. We will also view the Desertas Islands as twilight colors the landscape in shades of orange and scarlet. If weather conditions permit, we will make a 30-minute stop for snorkeling.

Finally, at 9.30 pm, we'll return to the departure dock.
