Whale Watching Sunset Cruise

At 6.30 pm, we'll meet at the Marina do Funchal to start the boat trip along the south coast of Madeira, around Cabo Girão and Câmara de Lobos. From the boat, we'll witness a sunset over the coast while trying to spot various whales and dolphins, as they come to feed during this time.

This period is ideal for seeing whales and dolphins in the North Atlantic. An on-board guide will share insights about the marine fauna, including species like bottlenose and spotted dolphins, sperm whales, fin whales, and pilot whales. The twilight view of the Desertas Islands will also be noteworthy, and, weather permitting, we will make a 30-minute stop for those interested in snorkeling.

We will return to the departure dock at 9.30 pm.
