Whale Watching Sunset Cruise

At 6.30 pm, we'll meet at the Marina do Funchal and begin the boat trip along the coast of Madeira. We'll sail along the south coast, passing Cabo Girão and Câmara de Lobos.

From the boat, we'll enjoy a sunset over the coast of Madeira while trying to spot different whales and dolphins as they come to the coast to feed in the evening. Sunset is one of the best times for sightings in the North Atlantic. The onboard guide will share facts about the marine fauna, including large mammals like whales. Common species include bottlenose and spotted dolphins, sperm whales, fin whales, and pilot whales.

As we sail, we'll see the Desertas Islands illuminated in twilight colors. If weather conditions permit, we will have a 30-minute stop for snorkeling in the open sea.

Finally, at 9.30 pm, we'll return to the departure dock.

Whales and dolphins are frequently found off Madeira Island; however, as wild animals, their sightings are unpredictable. We cannot guarantee the number or species observed during the tour.
