Calcurrupe River Kayak Tour

The Calcurrupe River, named from the Mapudungun language meaning path of the sorcerer, offers a unique kayaking experience. We will meet at 9:30 am at the Los Llolles port near the Maihue Lake basin.

After receiving life jackets and a safety briefing, we will embark on our kayaks and paddle downstream along the Calcurrupe River, which connects the Maihue and Ranco lakes.

The tour spans approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 miles) with some easy rapids, allowing participants to appreciate the fresh air and mountain scenery. Native birds like herons, cormorants, and kingfishers can be observed along the route.

We will take a break at a river beach to enjoy a lunch of roasted meat on a stick (asado), complemented by fried empanadas and organic vegetables. After lunch, a driver will be arranged to pick up your vehicle, concluding the tour around 5 pm.
