El Garrapatero Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drive to El Garrapatero, one of the top beaches on Santa Cruz Island.

After 40 minutes on the road, we will arrive. This beach features almost 2 miles (3 kilometers) of golden sand, ideal for sunbathing and relaxation. Visitors can observe sea lions and blue-footed boobies while the guide shares information about them.

We will follow a path through the mangroves to a brackish pool, where large flamingos search for crustaceans, often accompanied by herons, stilts, and oystercatchers.

Alight lunch, including a sandwich, fruit, and a soft drink, will be provided during our break.

After lunch, we will continue along the shore, learning about the local flora, fauna, and history, including the significance of the beach's name, which relates to an insect elimination process.

After 5 hours of exploring wildlife, we will return to your hotel and conclude the trip at 1 pm.
