El Garrapatero Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and drive to El Garrapatero. After 40 minutes, we will arrive at this beach, which features nearly 2 miles (3 kilometers) of golden sand, ideal for sunbathing and relaxing while observing sea lions and blue-footed boobies. Your guide will share interesting facts about the local wildlife.

We'll follow a path through the mangroves to a brackish pool, where we will see large flamingos foraging for crustaceans, along with other wading birds such as herons, stilts, and oystercatchers.

A light lunch consisting of a sandwich, fruit, and a soft drink will be provided. After lunch, we'll continue along the shore, discussing the local flora, fauna, and history, including the name of this location ("tick" in Spanish), which relates to the elimination of a specific insect.

After 5 hours of exploring the beach's wildlife, we will return to your hotel, concluding the trip at 1 pm.
