Embark on an exciting journey with our 4-day voyage through the southern Galapagos Islands, an opportunity to explore the stunning landscapes of this unique volcanic archipelago, recognized as the second-largest marine reserve globally.

4-Day Cruise of the South Galapagos Islands

Day 1: Arriving at Baltra Island & Santa Cruz Island

Your adventure begins as we pick you up from the Galapagos Islands Airport upon your arrival at Baltra Island. You will then make your way to the boat, where a delightful lunch awaits before we set sail towards Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island.

During our time on Santa Cruz, we will explore the Charles Darwin Research Station, delving into the conservation efforts and research initiatives concerning the Galapagos ecosystem.

As the day winds down, we'll enjoy dinner on the boat while setting sail towards South Plaza Island.

Day 2: South Plaza & Santa Fé Islands

After a fulfilling breakfast, we will disembark at South Plaza Island, situated off the coast of Santa Cruz. Here, a hiking tour will lead you across rugged paths where you can observe the island’s unique flora. This area is home to one of the largest populations of land iguanas found in the Galapagos.

Witness these impressive creatures, notable for their yellowish-brown coloration and larger stature. As we traverse the cliffs, enjoy watching swallow-tailed gulls, frigate birds, tropical birds, and blue-footed boobies in their natural habitat.

Following our exploration, we'll return to the catamaran for lunch while moving towards Santa Fé Island. This location is renowned for its breathtaking bay, where you can take a relaxing boat ride in the clear turquoise waters. We will also visit the sizable sea lion colony and discover the differences in the iguana population here compared to those in South Plaza.

To conclude the day, a delicious dinner will be served as we navigate towards Santiago Island.

Day 3: Santiago (Bartolomé Island & Sombrero Chino)

After breakfast, we will head to Bartolomé Island, a small landmass situated in front of Santiago. Here, marvel at unique rock formations such as Pinnacle Rock, as well as the sight of sea lions, penguins, and both black and white-tip sharks. Keep an eye out for mangroves!

Post-lunch, we will continue to the southern part of Santiago Island to explore Sombrero Chino. A hike will allow us to witness the geological formations created by volcanic processes. Stepping onto the beach with soft white sands, you’ll see sea lions and rock crabs that inhabit this area. Enjoy a walk along lava trails and investigate solidified volcanic tubes while learning fascinating details about the local biodiversity.

As we conclude the day, a hearty dinner is served on board as we set our sights on Mosquera Island.

Day 4: Daphne and Baltra Islands

On our final day, we will navigate around Daphne Island, comprised of two volcanic isles designated for scientific research. Interestingly, the behavior of Darwin's finches was meticulously studied here for two decades.

Our journey will conclude as we return to Baltra Island, home to the Galapagos Islands Airport.
