Embark on a remarkable journey over the course of five days navigating the stunning southern Galapagos Islands, where you'll witness the rich natural environment and diverse wildlife, including sea lions, iguanas, and exotic birds.

5-Day Cruise in the South Galapagos Islands

Day 1: Baltra & North Seymour Islands

Upon your arrival, you will be met at the Galapagos Islands Airport located on Baltra Island. Following this, we will proceed to board the vessel that will navigate through the southern region of the Galapagos archipelago.

The first meal of the journey will be served on board as we head to North Seymour Island. Here, we will embark on a 2-kilometer (1.2 miles) hike along its rugged coastline, where we can start identifying various bird species, including the striking frigatebirds and blue-footed boobies, marking an exciting beginning to this enhanced adventure!

We will then return to the boat for dinner while we set sail to San Cristobal Island.

Day 2: San Cristóbal & Lobos Islands

Awakening to a new day in this Pacific paradise, our morning will commence with breakfast before heading to the renowned Lobos Island, celebrated for its abundant sea lion population. Here, we will delve into the intriguing life of this species and have the thrilling opportunity to snorkel alongside them.

After lunch, our exploration continues at Cerro Brujo, located on the northern shores of San Cristobal Island. This site holds historical significance as it was once visited by Charles Darwin himself. We will delve into its ecological diversity and observe the nearby natural wonder known as the 'Sleeping Lion', where frigatebirds and a multitude of tropical species reside.

To conclude the day, you will enjoy a delightful dinner back on the boat, resting up for the adventures that await us.

Day 3: Floreana Island

Our third day will focus on the captivating Floreana Island. We will start our exploration at Punta Cormorant, which features two striking beaches, one of which is adorned with green sand. As we stroll along these shores, we will encounter flamingos, crabs, and diverse wildlife.

Aboard the boat, we will have lunch before venturing to Post Office Bay in the afternoon, another intriguing part of Floreana. Here, we will dive into the stories behind a 18th-century postal system that operates in this bay. Afterwards, we will retire for the night on the boat, recharging for the next day's adventures.

Day 4: Española Island

On Española Island, we will explore Gardner Bay, known for its beautiful white sandy beach, hosting wildlife such as swallow-tailed gulls, hawks, albatrosses, and hooded mockingbirds. If weather permits, take the chance to refresh in its inviting waters.

Additionally, we will visit Gardner Island and Osborn Islet before heading to Punta Suárez later in the afternoon. Here, we will uncover why the Galapagos is a haven for zoology enthusiasts, as we encounter iguanas, tortoises, sea lions, and a variety of birds.

The day will culminate with dinner on board, followed by our journey toward Santa Cruz Island.

Day 5: Santa Cruz & Baltra Islands

Our final day begins at 8:30 am when we disembark on Santa Cruz Island for a close encounter with the majestic Santa Cruz tortoises in their natural habitat. A truly memorable experience!

As our 5-day adventure concludes, we will transport you back to the Galapagos Airport on Baltra Island.
