Galera White Desert Jeep Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet on the Iron Bridge in Galera. From there, we'll hop into a jeep and start a unique tour through the white desert in the Granada Geopark.

We'll follow the course of the Guardal River and look out at its fertile plains as we ascend towards Los Carriones. During the tour, we'll observe various plants, including white asphodel, capers, esparto grass, and thyme.

You'll also visit locations used in the filming of Intemperie, directed by Benito Zambrano, such as Los Amos Cave and the Cortijo de Ros, where both caves and steep gorges can be seen. Keep an eye out for Iberian ibexes and lynxes.

One of the stops will be the Sismitas de Galera, peculiar rock formations created by earthquakes thousands of years ago. We'll also visit the ancient gypsum mines of Castellón Alto to see the deposits and learn about their significance in Granada.

After an unforgettable jeep tour, we'll return to the starting point and conclude the activity 4 hours later.
