At the indicated time, we'll meet outside St Columba's Credit Union office on the edge of Eyre Square and begin this walking tour of Galway.

We will walk around Eyre Square, where we'll see The Browne Doorway, which was relocated to Eyre Square in 1905. The history of this monument is noteworthy.

Another highlight is the Quincentennial Fountain, designed by Eamon O'Doherty, which was inaugurated in 1984 to commemorate Galway's establishment as a borough.

We'll also visit Lynch's Castle, a Gothic style 16th-century building currently serving as a bank, previously owned by a powerful family.

A visit to the bustling Galway Market, open year-round on Saturdays and Sundays, will offer a variety of food and craft stalls. Following this, we will stroll down Kirwan's Lane in the Latin Quarter, featuring 16th and 17th-century architecture.

As the tour concludes, we will see The Spanish Arch, originally built in 1584, and learn about its name change. Finally, we will cross Salmon Weir Bridge to Galway Cathedral and end our tour after 1.5 hours. Slán!
