Inisheer Island Ferry

From the port of Doolin, you can board a ferry to Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands. The sailing time is approximately 15 minutes. Inisheer is home to around 300 residents.

Inisheer provides various activities to explore its rich flora and fauna. A recommended option is a stroll along the beach to admire the coastline, including Clase, Burren, and the Cliffs of Moher. You can also experience local culture through music and folk dancing shows in island restaurants, and take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage, a traditional transport method in the area.

Departure times

You can board any ferry that departs daily at the following times:

Outbound ferry from Doolin: at 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2.30 pm, and 5.15 pm.Return ferry from Inisheer: at 11.30 am, 1.45 pm, and 4.45 pm.

It is essential to arrive at the terminal at least 45 minutes before departure for both outbound and return ferries.

If you take the outbound ferry at 5.15 pm from Doolin, you will need to return the following day and will have to spend the night on Inisheer Island.
