If you would like to discover some of the best-kept secrets of Margarita Island, we will pick you up at your hotel for this day trip to La Asunción and Macanao.

We will begin by traveling to the city of La Asunción, where we will tour through its streets and visit key attractions such as Plaza Bolívar, the Nueva Cádiz Museum, the Cathedral of La Asunción, and the Monseñor Nicolás Navarro Culture House, focusing on local art.

Next, we will visit the Santa Rosa de la Eminencia Castle, offering panoramic views of the valley and insights into its history.

We will then proceed to the Macanao Peninsula, passing natural sites like the Tetas de María Guevara. At Laguna de la Restinga National Park, we will board a boat to sail through the mangroves and observe local birdlife.

After approximately half an hour, we will return to the mainland, using 4x4 vehicles to explore the north of Macanao, including the tropical beaches of Auyama and El Coco, along with endemic vegetation.

We will have lunch at a restaurant on Punta Arena beach, featuring typical Margarita Island cuisine. The exploration will continue with visits to the Boca Chica Lagoon and the Fortín de la Galera to enjoy a sunset view.
