La Asunción & Macanao Day Trip

On this day trip to La Asunción and Macanao, we'll discover two treasures of Margarita Island, including forests, nature, and tropical beaches.

Description

We will pick you up at your hotel for a day trip to La Asunción and Macanao. First, we will travel to the city of La Asunción for a tour of its main attractions, including Plaza Bolívar, the Nueva Cádiz Museum, the Cathedral of La Asunción, and the Monseñor Nicolás Navarro Culture House.

We will then visit the Santa Rosa de la Eminencia Castle for panoramic views of the valley and insights into its history. Next, we will proceed to the Macanao Peninsula, enjoying attractions like the Tetas de María Guevara along the way. At Laguna de la Restinga National Park, we will embark on a boat to navigate the mangroves and observe local birdlife.

Following this, we will board 4x4 vehicles to explore the north of Macanao, visiting tropical beaches such as Auyama and El Coco, and witnessing endemic vegetation. We will have a typical Margarita Island lunch at a restaurant on Punta Arena beach. After lunch, we will visit the Boca Chica Lagoon and the Fortín de la Galera for sunset views.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel after around 10 to 11 hours.
