La Asunción + Pampatar Tour

On this tour of La Asunción and Pampatar, we will explore the history of both cities in Nueva Esparta and include a boat ride around La Restinga as well as time to relax on Los Cocos Beach.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel and proceed to La Asunción, the capital of Nueva Esparta. A guided tour will highlight key historical locations including Bolivar Square, the Nueva Cadiz Museum, Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Church, and the Casa de la Cultura Monseñor Nicolás Navarro.

We will also visit the Basílica del Valle to learn about the significance of handmade crafts on Isla Margarita and the Virgen del Valle. Following this, we will head to Pampatar to explore the San Carlos de Borromeo Castle and the Cristo del Buen Viaje Chapel. A stop at the Punta Ballena Lighthouse will provide views of the Pampatar salt flats. Afterward, we will dine at a local restaurant at Los Cocos Beach, followed by free time to relax. The day will conclude with a visit to La Galera Fort for sunset views before returning to your hotel after a total of 10-11 hours.

La Restinga Boat Ride

If desired, you can book an option that includes a boat ride around La Restinga Lake. After La Asunción, we will take you to the port for a boat tour of the mangroves in La Restinga. We will then continue to Pampatar for the same visits as mentioned earlier, followed by sailing to Punta Ballena Lighthouse.
