La Asunción + Pampatar Tour

On this tour of La Asunción and Pampatar, we will explore the history of both cities in Nueva Esparta. Additionally, you can take a boat ride around La Restinga and relax on Los Cocos Beach.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to the capital of the state of Nueva Esparta, La Asunción.

We'll take a guided tour of the city, making stops at key sites, including Bolivar Square, the Nueva Cadiz Museum, Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Church, and Casa de la Cultura Monseñor Nicolás Navarro.

Next, we will visit the Basílica del Valle to learn about the significance of handmade crafts on Isla Margarita and the Virgen del Valle. The tour will continue to Pampatar to see San Carlos de Borromeo Castle and Cristo del Buen Viaje Chapel.

Our next stop is Punta Ballena Lighthouse, with views of the Pampatar salt flats. We will then head to Los Cocos Beach for a meal at a local restaurant.

After your meal, enjoy free time on the beach before visiting La Galera Fort for a sunset view. Following this, we will return to your hotel, arriving after a total of 10-11 hours.

La Restinga Boat Ride

After visiting La Asunción, we will take you to the port to board a boat for exploring the mangroves in La Restinga and observing its fauna and flora.

We will then arrive in Pampatar to visit San Carlos de Borromeo Castle and Cristo del Buen Viaje Chapel, before continuing to Punta Ballena Lighthouse and following the original itinerary.
