Garopaba Cachaça Experience

Your adventure begins at 2:30 pm with a pickup from your hotel to commence this cachaça tour in Garopaba. Throughout the journey, you will discover how this beloved beverage, characteristic of Santa Catarina, is crafted from the flour of cassava, commonly referred to as yuca or manioc.

The first destination will be the artisanal distillery of Alambique do Vô Zeca, where you will witness firsthand the intricate cachaça production process and have the opportunity to sample the spirit. Curious about its history? Our next stop will reveal fascinating insights at the archaeological site of Praia da Vigia.

Next, we will progress to the historic center of Garopaba, continuing our exploration of cachaça's background and production. However, this local liquor is just a part of the region's heritage. To appreciate further the city's economic fabric, we will visit the Armação Baleeira de São Joaquim de Garopaba, a facility historically significant for whaling activities.

Finally, our journey will take us to the home workshop of a local artisan, where you will encounter various tools and items linked to the cachaça trade as well as other regional industries.

After our informative visit to the workshop, we will make our way back to your hotel in Garopaba, arriving around 6:30 pm.
