Explore the best of Gdansk
Meet at the Brama Wy?ynna gate at the designated time to kick off our journey through the historical gems of Gdansk.
First, we'll embark on a minibus journey to Malbork. Upon arrival, we'll explore Malbork Castle, a World Heritage Site since 1997. Experience a three-hour tour of the fortress, the former seat of the Teutonic Order, with an audio guide available in English. Discover tales from the Battle of Grunwald and the Thirteen Years' War.
Afterward, we'll return to Gdansk for an hour of free time for lunch before touring the old town. We'll follow the Royal Route, the historical axis for Polish kings during the Middle Ages.
Next, we'll visit the Amber Museum, previously a torture chamber and prison. We'll pass through the Golden Gate Arch and see notable late Renaissance landmarks. As we walk along Long Street, we'll encounter the Golden House, Neptune's Fountain, the Town Hall, and the Court of Artus.
We'll reach the Vistula River and pause in front of the medieval Gdansk Crane, a significant fourteenth-century construction. Admire the Basilica of Our Lady, the world's largest brick church, and conclude the tour at the Great Armory, known for its Dutch Mannerist architecture and details like the Minerva statue.
We'll return to the starting point in Gdansk after our eight-and-a-half-hour adventure.
