Chamonix Tour

After meeting at the central bus station (Gare Routiere) in Geneva, we'll head to Chamonix. After an hour and a half’s drive, we'll reach this French mountain town, known for over 100 years as a key center for mountaineering and winter sports.

Upon arrival, you'll have 2 hours of free time to explore Chamonix at your own pace. At noon, we will reconvene with the guide for a 40-minute guided tour.

During our walking tour through Chamonix, we will visit main attractions such as Saint Michel’s Church and the statue of Jacques Balmat, the first mountaineer to summit Mount Blanc. The tour will cover the history of Chamonix since its evolution as a prominent Alpine tourist destination in the 19th Century.

After the tour, you'll have free time to enjoy Chamonix at your leisure, exploring its streets, tasting local cuisine, and shopping at this renowned ski resort.

We will return to Geneva around 6:15 pm.

Type of Guide and Group Size

A guide is guaranteed for groups of 10 or more. If the group is smaller, the tour will be conducted with a driver who will provide commentary.
