Why visit the Biosphere?
The Biosfera, or Biosphere, is one of the icons of Genoa and a staple in the city's skyline. This ticket grants access to this monument, also known as La Bolla, or 'the bubble,' designed by architect Renzo Piano. This glass sphere located in Genoa's Porto Antico houses a zoo and a tropical garden. Explore the plants and animals in this unique enclave.
Inside you'll find a recreation of a small jungle inhabited by butterflies, iguanas, and up to 150 types of tropical plants such as ferns, banana trees, and rubber trees. These species thrive thanks to modern facilities that allow sunlight to enter. Learn various facts about botany.
