Embark on a journey through the capital of Liguria! During this complimentary tour of Genoa, we will explore the historic center of one of Italy's most captivating cities.

Description

This complimentary tour of Genoa will commence on time at Piazza San Lorenzo, right in front of the cathedral steps.

We’ll start by appreciating the blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles adorning the exterior of the cathedral, then proceed to the Ducal Palace of Genoa. Are you aware of the notable figures who once resided there? Following an exploration of the history associated with this magnificent site, we will advance to the nearby Piazza Raffaele de Ferrari.

Continuing from this point, our next highlight will be the facade of the Carlo Felice Theatre, known as the majestic Genoa Opera. Here, we’ll uncover the renowned performances that took place and meander along Via Garibaldi to admire its illustrious palaces from the outside, with the impressive Palazzo Rosso standing out in particular.

Yet, Genoa is not solely defined by its civil architecture; religious structures also play a significant role. We’ll explore this aspect by visiting the Basilica of San Siro along with the churches of San Luca and San Pietro Banchi.

Our exploration will conclude as we wander past some of the city's most emblematic locations along the Via Degli Orefici and the Piazza Campetto. After a rich 2-hour experience, we’ll return to our original meeting spot to wrap up the tour.
