Rolli Palaces Guided Tour

The guided tour of the Rolli palaces begins at 3 pm on Via Garibaldi, a prominent area in Genoa's old town known for its historic palaces. The Palazzi dei Rolli were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006, recognized for their role in the public hospitality system that obliged selected residences to host distinguished visitors, including royalty and diplomats, during the Genoese Republic era.

During the tour, we will explore the lavish reception rooms and exquisite decorations of these palaces, highlighting works by notable Genoese artists, frescoes, and the luxurious living spaces of influential families.

Our first visit will be to Palazzo Rosso, a 17th-century residence with art collections and furnishings from the Brignole-Sale family. We will then proceed to Nicolosio Lomellino Palace, also known as Palazzo Podestà, where we will admire the frescoes and stucco ceiling decorations.

Next, we will visit the Palace of Tobia Pallavicino, or Palazzo Carrega-Cataldi, which features significant works by Baroque artists, including Lorenzo de Ferrari. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Golden Gallery in Palazzo di Tobia Pallavicini, renowned for its ornamental details, followed by the Imperial Palace, showcasing its remarkable decorations and frescoes.
