Guided Tour of Georgetown

We'll meet at the indicated time next to the Parliament Building, located at the intersection of Brickdam St and Avenue of the Republic, in Georgetown. Once assembled, we'll set off on this guided walking tour of the capital of Guyana.

First, we'll walk east towards one of the main attractions, Stabroek Market. We'll enter this large metallic building to experience the vibrant atmosphere created by locals purchasing various products, from handicrafts to fruits and vegetables.

After experiencing the cultural essence of Guyana, we'll explore the streets of the "Garden City" and observe its colonial-style buildings, immersing ourselves in the city's history.

Next, we'll visit St. George's Anglican Cathedral, the tallest wooden church in the world. We'll learn about its architectural significance while appreciating its exterior. Finally, we'll head to Bourda Market, concluding with a refreshing drink of coconut water.

The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours and will end back at the entrance of the market.
