Guided Tour of Georgetown

We will meet at the scheduled time next to the Parliament Building, located at the intersection of Brickdam St and Avenue of the Republic, in Georgetown. Once assembled, we will commence this guided walking tour.

Our first stop will be the Stabroek Market, where we will explore this large metallic building and experience the bustling atmosphere as locals shop for various products, including handicrafts and fruits and vegetables.

Next, we will walk through the streets of the "Garden City" and observe its distinctive colonial-style buildings, allowing us to delve into the city’s history.

We will then visit St. George's Anglican Cathedral, known as the tallest wooden church in the world. We will learn interesting facts about this architectural landmark while appreciating its exterior. The tour will conclude with a stop at Bourda Market to enjoy a refreshing drink of coconut water.

The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours and will conclude back at the entrance of the market.
