On this visit to the Gernika Peace Museum, you'll discover the history of a city that rebuilt itself after a tragic event of the Spanish Civil War.
Gernika Peace Museum Ticket
"Refuse to forget, refuse to seek revenge." This is the motto of the Gernika Peace Museum, highlighting the history of Gernika, which suffered bombing by the German Condor Legion on April 26, 1937.
This museum promotes peace as a resolution to conflicts, exploring topics such as peace in the 21st century, peace of life, negative peace, and tools for peace. This tour encourages reflection on peace and war.
Your ticket allows you to learn about the bombing's history through survivor testimonies and see a recreation of that tragic day in a Gernika family's dining room. As you explore the museum, you will also consider the state of peace in the world and Picasso's piece, Gernika, in relation to human rights.
