What does the capital of East Flanders taste like? To find out, at the indicated time, we'll start this free food tour of Ghent at the Hostel Uppelink.

We'll cross the River Lys over St. Michael's Bridge and head into the historic centre of Ghent, sampling various Belgian gastronomic specialties. These tastings will vary according to the season, including traditional waffles.

Along the way, you'll visit bars and street food stalls around Korenmarkt Square, St. Nicholas Church and St. Bavo's Cathedral, where you can enjoy classic Belgian fries.

We'll continue in other areas of Ghent's old town, tasting delicious chocolates and providing a ticket for a typical beer at the Gentse Gruut Brouwerij brewery.

After a 1.5-hour tour, we'll conclude the free tour in the central streets of Ghent's Old Town.
