Ghent Guided Tour
This guided walking tour of Ghent begins at the Belfry and lasts two hours. The itinerary includes a visit to the Castle of Gerald the Devil, St. Bavon's Cathedral (home of the Ghent Altarpiece), the Belfry, and the Town Hall.
Additionally, the tour will cover historical sites such as St. Nicholas Church, Masons' Guild Hall (sixteenth century), the medieval harbor ("The Pier of Herbs and Grains"), Gravensteen Castle, the district of Patershol, Friday Market Square, and the meat and fish markets. The tour concludes in the center of Ghent.
Travel
If you're traveling from Brussels, take the train from the central station at 8.30 am. After arriving, transfer to tram number 1 towards Centrum, stopping at Kouter Square and then Korte Meer.
