Ghent Guided Tour
This guided walking tour of Ghent begins at the Belfry and lasts two hours.
We'll start with a visit to the Castle of Gerald the Devil, St. Bavon's Cathedral (home to the Ghent Altarpiece), the Belfry, and the Town Hall.
The tour includes visits to the oldest monuments: St. Nicholas Church, Masons' Guild Hall (sixteenth century), the medieval harbor (known as "The Pier of Herbs and Grains"), the Gravensteen Castle, the district of Patershol, Friday Market Square, and the meat and fish markets.
The tour concludes in the center of Ghent.
Travel
To travel from Brussels, take the train from the central station at 8:30 am. From there, board tram number 1 towards Centrum to Kouter Square, getting off at the Korte Meer stop.
