Situated on the shores of Poniente Beach, the Gijon Aquarium is a primary attraction in this Asturian city. You will have the opportunity to admire a wide variety of marine species from around the world. The section dedicated to the Cantabrian Sea features sturgeons, eels, salmon, and trout among other species unique to Asturias and the Cantabrian coast.

In the Atlantic section, observe octopuses, monkfish, sardines, crabs, and jellyfish. The Oceanarium is notable for its inhabitants including turtles, rays, Patagonian toothfish, and large sharks.

The aquarium also presents a section focused on coral reefs, showcasing various fish types such as clownfish, blowfish, cowfish, and porcupinefish.
