On our dolphin and whale watching activity in the Gulf of Taranto, you will see dolphins and sperm whales in the Ionian Sea.

Gulf of Taranto Dolphin & Whale Watching

The Ionian coast is ideal for observing dolphins and whales in the wild. We will meet at Porto Canale in Marina di Ginosa and set sail to find these marine animals. During the boat trip, we will hear legends about the province of Taranto, known as "Taras" in ancient times, and learn about the sea's significance in this part of Apulia. After moving away from the coast, we will attempt to spot dolphins and sperm whales swimming in the Ionian Sea.

Participants may witness these animals jumping, performing pirouettes, and swimming beside the boat. The experience concludes with a snack and drinks on board. After this 2-hour boat trip, we will return to the port of Marina di Ginosa.
