On our dolphin and whale watching activity in the Gulf of Taranto, you will see dolphins and sperm whales in the Ionian Sea.

Gulf of Taranto Dolphin & Whale Watching

The Ionian coast is an ideal location to see dolphins and whales in the wild. We will meet at Porto Canale in Marina di Ginosa and set sail to search for these marine animals.

During the boat trip, we will hear legends about the province of Taranto, known as "Taras" in ancient times, and learn about the sea's importance in Apulia. After moving away from the coast, we will attempt to spot dolphins and sperm whales swimming in the Ionian Sea.

You will observe these animals jumping, performing pirouettes, and swimming at full speed next to the boat. We will conclude our experience with a snack and drinks on board.

This boat trip lasts 2 hours, after which we will return to the port of Marina di Ginosa.

The Gulf of Taranto is among the best locations in Italy to see dolphins and other cetaceans. However, animal sightings are unpredictable and may vary based on weather conditions and the breeding seasons of different species.
