Gulf of Taranto Dolphin & Whale Watching

The Ionian coast is ideal for seeing dolphins and whales in the wild. We'll meet at Porto Canale in Marina di Ginosa and set sail in search of these marine animals.

During our boat trip, we'll hear legends about the province of Taranto, known as "Taras" in ancient times, and learn about the sea's significance in Apulia. Once we've put some distance from the coast, we'll attempt to spot dolphins and sperm whales swimming in the Ionian Sea.

We'll observe these animals jumping, performing pirouettes, and swimming near the boat. After the boat trip, we will enjoy a snack with drinks on board.

After this 2-hour boat trip, we'll return to the port of Marina di Ginosa.

The Gulf of Taranto is a prime location in Italy for spotting dolphins and other cetaceans. However, animal sightings can be unpredictable, influenced by factors such as weather conditions and the breeding seasons of different species.
