Route

  1. 1

    Puente de Besalua

We walk through the Old Bridge of Besalú, it is believed that it was built in the 11th century on a Roman bridge, but it was rebuilt in the 14th century. After the destruction that suffered in the civil war was rebuilt again. It consists of two sections at an angle and in the center is the tower with a small arch. We visited the center of the city, flooded with streets and facades as part of its medieval heritage.

  2. 2

    Iglesia Sant Vicenc

During the tour we visited the ecclesiastical monuments that are in the town, such as the churches of Sant Pere, Santa María and Sant Vicenç, which alternate Romanesque elements with other Gothic. On the other hand, in the Jewish quarter you can visit some medieval baths, dedicated to the Hebrew ritual ablutions.

  3. 3

    Pueblo Medieval de Rupit

We will visit Rupit, considered as the medieval charm of Catalunya. The charm of this city is found in its stone houses, built in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, which are very well preserved despite being 400 years old. We will make a stop to have lunch.

  4. 4

    Tavertet

We will leave the village towards Cingles del Tavertet, a natural area that rises above the valley of Sau and the flat d'Osona. In it we will find forests of great scenic interest inhabited by birds of prey. In addition, Tavertet is located on a cliff, near a cliff that offers views of the Sau reservoir and the Montseny mountains.
