Cadaques & Cap de Creus Day Trip
After meeting up at 8:30 am in the Plaça de Sant Feliu in Girona, we'll head to the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, located in the mountains of La Albera.
We will explore this historic site of Catalan Romanesque architecture, visiting the church, bell tower, cloister, sacristies, and the Abbot's palace. Our English-speaking guide will share details about the monastery's history and architecture, highlighting its views over the Gulf of Roses and Cap de Creus Natural Park.
At around 11 am, we'll explore the wilderness of Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. We will visit Portlligat for views over the Costa Brava. Cap de Creus is part of a protected natural area, with coastal towns such as Port de la Selva, Roses, and Cadaques.
After a half-hour walk through the park, we will travel to Cadaques. Arriving in the picturesque town, you will have an hour and a half for lunch at a local restaurant (not included). After lunch, we will regroup for a guided tour of the historic center of Cadaques, known for its exceptional beauty.
Finally, we will return to Girona at 6 pm.
