Cadaques & Cap de Creus Day Trip
After meeting at 8:30 am in the Plaça de Sant Feliu in Girona, we'll head to the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, located in the mountains of La Albera.
We'll explore this historic gem of Catalan Romanesque architecture, including its church, bell tower, cloister, sacristies, and the Abbot's palace. An English-speaking guide will provide details about the monastery's history and architecture. The views over the Gulf of Roses and the Cap de Creus Natural Park are significant highlights.
At around 11 am, we will visit the Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula. In Portlligat, we will enjoy views over the Costa Brava. Cap de Creus is part of a protected area of natural interest, featuring seaside towns like Port de la Selva, Roses, and Cadaques.
Enjoy a half-hour walk through the park before traveling to Cadaques. Upon arrival in the picturesque town, you will have an hour and a half for lunch at a local restaurant (not included). After that, we will regroup for a guided tour of the historic center of Cadaques, a fishing village recognized for its beauty.
Finally, we will return to Girona at 6 pm.
