Costa Brava & Medieval Towns Tour
At the designated time, we'll meet at the River Café, in Plaça Sant Feliu in Girona, and start our guided tour of the Costa Brava.
First, you'll visit the coastal towns of Llafranc and Calella, known for their small sandy coves and historic fishing traditions. After exploring the clifftop paths characteristic of this region, you'll head to Begur, a Medieval town located on a hill, where you'll have time to climb up to the ruins of the castle for views across the Gulf of Roses.
Next, your tour continues to Pals. This town features climbing plants, moats, walls, and Romanesque towers. Known for its rice fields, you'll have an opportunity to sample locally-grown rice at a traditional restaurant, with the star dish being rice casserole (not included). Afterward, enjoy a stroll through artisan market stalls, reaching the Torre de las Horas, the remaining vestige of the Castle of Pals, destroyed in the 15th Century.
Not far from Pals is Peratallada, one of the best conserved Medieval towns in Catalonia. From there, you'll return to Girona, stopping at La Bisbal d’Empordà to admire the traditional ceramic produced.
You will arrive back in Girona at around 6 pm.
